Although the purpose of this report was to study the unemployed in Leicester and use this information to make recommendations to improve provision for unemployed youth, this report can also be used to see the type of employment opportunities available to school leavers in different areas of Leicester in the 1980s, and the types of jobs in which different ethnicities were employed. It also details the interviewees parents employment and the area/country of residence of interviewees/their families before coming to Leicester.
